Who are you?
We are a new community of Christ- followers in the Slate Belt area, made up of everyday folks who are learning to simply follow Jesus as honestly as we can, and grow in our capacity to love God, and others well. This is reflected in our mission statement- The Most important thing: Loving God, loving others. At the end of the day that’s the thing we really want to be known for…

What’s it going to be like when I get there?
We are a non-denominational church that is trying to keep things simple. Our Sunday morning meetings include elements that have been a part of Christian gatherings for 2000 years: singing, prayer, Scripture reading, and teaching from the Bible. And we try to do all of this in a very genuine, real-life style that, nevertheless, recognizes the sacredness of meeting with God.
First of all don’t worry too much about what to wear, God doesn’t care and neither do we.
When you get to the church feel free to grab a cup of coffee. Some friendly people will probably welcome you at our information table- you might be surprised you even know a few of them.
That’s also where you can sign the kids in for our Hopekids program. There’s an exciting program going on for them at the same time as the message and a nursery program for the under 4 crowd.
We love our kids and want to do all we can to keep them safe so we screen everybody who works in our nursery and kids programs. We would screen our own grandma.
We try to make our gathering place a sacred space that’s reflective of the beauty of God.
We enjoy both ancient hymns, music from the present day, and other forms of written and spoken expression as we explore God’s Word.
Sometimes the music is loud and other times it’s contemplative and quiet, but we always seek to worship God in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.
At times we’ll watch a video clip or a have a drama illustrating an important point from the message.
And some weeks we celebrate communion together as believers, remembering what Jesus has done for us and how we are forgiven and made complete in Him.
What are you going to make me do?
We know it’s hard to walk into a new place, especially a church, but we promise we won’t put you on the spot.
We won’t make you stand up and give a speech, whistle, sing a solo, or do an Irish dance (although we love a good Irish jig, so if you’re an aficionado please let us know).
We won’t even try and hit you up for money. We do have a box in the back where people who call Hopesprings their home church, or just think what we are doing is cool, can give to further God’s work in our communities.
What about my Kids?
Definitely bring the kids. We’ve got kids too-lots of them. They’ll have a blast.
There’s an exciting program going on for them at the same time as the message, and a nursery program for the little ones.
We know a safe environment is important so all of our volunteers submit to background screenings. For more information on Hopekids please CLICK HERE.
